A Collaborative Approach to Therapy

I’m Peter, a recently qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a Master’s degree in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from Goldsmiths, University of London. I am currently working towards BABCP accreditation.

I offer 25 individual, fifty-minute therapy sessions, providing a consistent and supportive space to understand what you are experiencing, develop new perspectives and work towards meaningful change.

My approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based psychological therapy that explores the relationship between our thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I also draw on approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and functional analysis, allowing our work to be thoughtfully tailored to you rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all model.

Therapy Tailored to You

I believe that therapy works best when there is a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, openness and collaboration. My aim is to create a calm, non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable exploring difficult experiences and have the space to understand yourself in greater depth.

Across almost 200 hours of clinical practice, I have worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, panic disorder and complex trauma/PTSD. I have provided both face-to-face and online therapy, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances.

Our 25-session programme gives us the opportunity to work beyond simply addressing immediate symptoms. Together, we can identify patterns that may be keeping difficulties going, develop practical psychological skills and work towards changes that feel meaningful and sustainable in your everyday life.

My role is not to tell you how to live your life. Instead, I see therapy as a collaborative process — helping you develop a clearer understanding of yourself, your difficulties and the changes you want to make.

What Clients Say

“Working with Pete has been genuinely life-changing. Even in training, he has an incredible ability to listen, empathise, and combine these skills with CBT in a way that has completely transformed my mindset. I can now do things I never imagined possible, and that’s entirely down to our work together. Pete is making a real difference, and I feel very lucky to have been supported by him.”

“Pete effortlessly creates a supportive, safe, and non-judgemental environment in which I felt comfortable opening up about difficult issues that I had previously struggled to discuss. He introduced a range of practical techniques and exercises to help me process my thoughts and feelings, adapting his approach to suit my individual needs. With Pete’s support, I have made significant progress in understanding myself, recognising my triggers, and developing healthier ways of thinking and behaving. His guidance has had a genuinely positive impact on my life.”

“Pete, has been incredibly positive and genuinely life-changing. Through counselling, I discovered so much about myself and was able to delve deeply into the root causes of certain emotions, behaviours and experiences. I opened up about some very personal and traumatic things, and Pete always provided a safe, understanding and non-judgemental space where I felt able to be completely honest. What I appreciated most was that the sessions weren’t just about talking. I came away with practical strategies that I can use in everyday life — helping me manage negative emotions and experiences, recognise unhealthy patterns, protect my wellbeing and navigate toxic environments more effectively. I now understand myself on a deeper level and feel far better equipped to deal with difficult situations when they arise.”

Your First Step

I offer a free 15-minute initial call before beginning therapy. This is a relaxed, confidential opportunity for us to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with and what you hope to get from our work together.

There is no obligation to continue. The call is simply a chance for you to ask any questions, get a sense of how I work and decide whether you feel I could be the right therapist for you.

A Thoughtful, Personal Service

Alongside my clinical work, I founded Tell Me A Time, a mental health platform that has reached more than 100,000 people internationally and raised over £10,000 for mental health charities. I have also developed community initiatives focused on connecting physical and mental wellbeing.

These experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of genuine human connection and have reinforced the values I bring to my therapeutic work: empathy, curiosity, openness and a commitment to helping people create meaningful change.

If you feel that therapy could be helpful, I would be pleased to discuss what you are looking for and whether working together might be a good fit. Please send a initial email to - tellmeatime@outlook.com
